We are launching an exciting event for aspiring lawyers or others interested in alternative roles within the legal function (such as paralegals and business teams) - Allen & Overy and Haleon: working together to widen access and opportunity in law for everyone.

Free and open to all, the online event gives students from across the UK the opportunity to meet the nation’s leading law firms from their laptops. Students based overseas who intend to qualify as solicitors and are eligible to work in the UK are also encouraged to attend.

The Fair features 70 exhibitors, including Magic Circle and leading US firms’ London offices, international firms, and national firms across the UK.

As an attendee you can explore the exhibitor booths in our virtual Expo Hall. Each participating law firm has a virtual booth with a livestream allowing you to join video chats and network with lawyers, graduate recruitment experts and trainees. Find out everything you want to know from application hints and tips through to life as a trainee. You can also submit written questions in the live chats.

There are also a series of six careers and commercial awareness workshops delivered by leading lawyers and graduate recruitment experts on topics such as acing interviews and practice area insights which run simultaneously to the Expo.

Join us on the afternoon Wednesday 25 October for the virtual fair for students looking to join law firms in legal tech and operations roles.

This fast-growing area is attracting increasing numbers of graduates from all university disciplines, including law.

Most graduates who follow this route don’t qualify as solicitors (although the new Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) is blurring the lines of the legal profession), progressing instead into senior technology and project management roles within law firms, consultancy giants and financial institutions.

The Fair features a virtual expo from 2pm to 4pm, with video walk-ins with the above firms’ legal tech and operations teams, as well as a panel discussion led by heads of department and trainees pursuing careers in this area.
