At Allen & Overy we are a lot more interested in what kind of lawyer you can become than what you have studied at university. Last year, around half of the trainees that started with us studied subjects other than law at university. This diversity of background and skill is vital for our business as the role of a lawyer evolves and our clients’ needs become ever more sophisticated. But whether you have studied Law or not, there are some fixed elements, as well as some that we strongly recommend, on your journey to joining us as a trainee, and ultimately to qualifying as a lawyer.

To understand every stage that you need to take, map your journey based on what you are studying and use the red numbered spots to navigate through the cycle.
