King's College Law Society Freshers Ball

Members and friends of King’s College Law Society were treated to a night of luxury thanks to the world class law firm Allen & Overy. As the first event of the KCL Law Society social calendar, no expense was to be spared as guests partied the night away at the A-List hotspot, Alto.  

Upon arrival to the venue, the guests were not disappointed as they were greeted by a world renowned fire performer who astounded with his routines and fire eating performances. The guests were then invited to descend the grand staircase of Alto before witnessing the next surprise of the night in the form of a ceiling high popping champagne bottle cast in ice engraved with the words ‘KCL Law Society Fresher’s 2010-2011’. The mood was then set for what became a fantastic night. The drinks were flowing and guests were treated to vodka shots as they socialised with old friends as well as meeting new ones. Guests were also able to chat to trainees from Allen & Overy, and many commented that it was great that they could ask about their experiences in a more informal setting.

At 3am, the evening drew to a close.  As we all woke up in the morning with sore feet and slightly sore heads, we lay safe in the knowledge that a fantastic night was had by all, none of which would have been possible without the generous assistance of Allen & Overy.
