Smart Move 

Joining Allen & Overy will involve a move to London if you don’t live here already. We understand that the decision to move to another city – especially London, the largest city in the UK – might be  daunting but life here can be very exciting! And even if you know London already, working for Allen and Overy could introduce you to a different side of the Capital.

To illustrate some of the highlights of living and working for Allen & Overy in London we asked a panel of trainees to write this part of the website, so we can include all of the relevant information you might need before starting working life in the City.  The following sections include lots of useful information as well as some advice and personal experiences of London life.

When it comes to how you spend your free time, we hardly need mention the wealth of social, sporting and cultural amenities that the capital has to offer. Our Trainee Social Committee also organises regular events to help you build a social life in the Capital. In addition to this part of the website, our employee profiles and blogs will give you an insight into life in London and what it might be like if you were to make the move to Allen & Overy

Allen & Overy is also committed to a number of pro bono projects and charities within the local community and encourages everyone to participate in, believing this experience enriches all involved.  It's yet another great way to get to know the parts of London that are on our doorstep.
