We believe there's no such thing as a typical Allen & Overy candidate.  Whilst it will come as no surprise that we're looking for people who can demonstrate a strong academic performance, just as important is evidence of teamwork, communication skills, planning and organisation, problem solving and commercial awareness.  Commitment to a career in law and to a career with A&O is, of course, also essential.  We mean it when we say your university and degree subject don't matter - at least 45% of our trainees are from non-law backgrounds and we do not have a shortlist of preferred universities.
